Fattoria del Mulino is an old 15th century farmhouse, situated in one of the most enchanting parts of Tuscany: The CHIANTISHIRE. The country house is surrounded by 19 hectares of vineyards, which produce quality wines, valuable to the economy of the area. There are also 40 hectares of olive-groves which produce the famous extra virgin olive-oil. (All products are obtained by organic farming).

The farm is only 18 Km away from Florence, 60 Km. from Arezzo and 80 Km from Siena. Guided tours of central Florence can be arranged here. There are many other beautiful, historic places in the area such as San Gimignano, Volterra, Cortona, Pisa, Lucca Perugia etc.

At the farm there it is possible to stay either in an apartment or room. The apartments have all been restored in the typical tuscan style, and offer cooking facilities, living-room with fireplace, satellite TV bedrooms and bathrooms.

All the Bedrooms, are elegant and well furnished, and have a bathroom, fridge, satellite TV, fan and telephone. At Casabella, it is possible to have a buffet breakfast, where you can enjoy typical fare, cakes, marmalades and seasonal fresh fruits picked from the garden. If you wish to stay half board, typical tuscan dishes can be tasted in the restaurant.

All the apartments and bedrooms are situated in the peaceful atmosphere of the Tuscany countryside. However it is possible to partake in a variety of activities at the farm, such as:-

COOKING:
Here you will learn many secrets and specialities of Tuscan cooking.
WINE TASTING:
You can taste and appreciate the quality some of the best wines of the region.
CERAMICS:
To develop your creativity; for children and adults.
HORSE RIDING:
Learn to ride and enjoy the beautiful countryside.

In addition to these activities you may prefer to walk, or go by mountain bike, visit the old oil and windmill, still in full working order, or simply relax by the pool.

The best times to visit the farm are in the summer, but also in spring (March-June), when nature is at it busiest and the climate is warm. Autumn is also a great time (October-December). You can participate helping with the olive harvest the wheat grinding and bread making in the old windmill. Then, during "the pig-week", you will learn how to make ham and salami and other meat pastes.
